The cost of the proceeding to appropriate property as provided in section 393.080 shall be paid by the corporation, company or individual seeking the appropriation for gas, electric, water and sewer corporations, up to and including the filing and copying of the report of the commissioners, and the court, as to any cost made by any subsequent litigation, may make such order as in its discretion may be deemed just. The court shall, pursuant to section 393.080, allow the commissioners a reasonable compensation for their services, which shall be taxed as costs in the proceedings.
