Subject to supreme court rule, district court of appeal rule and local circuit court rule, marshals of any court may carry firearms when necessary for the proper discharge of their duties. Such marshals shall have all powers granted law enforcement officers in this state to apprehend and arrest persons and which are necessary to ensure the proper security and functioning of the court employing such marshal.
