Upon complying with the provisions of chapter 429, 1 any state certified real estate appraiser who performs any appraisal or appraisal service or title examination services for the owner, proprietor, or the agent, trustee, contractor or subcontractor of the owner or proprietor, on any commercial real estate and any person who performs title examination services upon commercial real estate pursuant to a written contract, shall have a lien upon such land and any improvements thereon owned by such owner or proprietor, in an amount sufficient to secure the payment for such appraisal or appraisal service or title examination services which have been completed.
