Unless exempt from licensure pursuant to the provisions of sections 443.701 to 443.893, no person engaged in, or offering to engage in, any act or service for which a license is required pursuant to the provisions of sections 443.701 to 443.893 may bring or maintain any action in any court of this state to collect compensation for the performance of the licensable services without alleging and proving that the person was the holder of a valid residential mortgage license issued pursuant to the provisions of sections 443.701 to 443.893 at all times during the performance of such services.
