Every company operating under sections 380.201 to 380.591, on or before the first day of March in each year, shall prepare an annual statement on a form prescribed by the director, verified by the affidavit of its president and secretary, showing the condition of the company as of the end of the calendar year ending on the thirty-first day of December next preceding. The annual statement shall be filed with the director on or before the first day of March in each year for the calendar year next preceding and shall be presented at the annual meeting of the company.
