Whenever the director of finance shall take charge or possession of any corporation, according to the provisions of section 361.300, it shall be his duty and he is hereby directed immediately and from time to time as the same appear during such charge or possession, to place before the prosecuting attorney of the county in which said corporation is located, all information and evidence concerning the affairs and conditions of said corporation showing or tending to show any and all violations of the criminal laws of this state by any officer, director or employee of said corporation; provided, that the word “county” as herein used shall be construed to include the city of St. Louis, and that the words “prosecuting attorney” shall be construed to include the proper prosecuting officer of the city of St. Louis.
