It shall be the duty of the secretary of state to send notice that the corporate registration report is due to each corporation in this state required to register. The notice shall be directed to its registered office as disclosed originally by its articles of incorporation or by its application for a certificate of authority to transact business in this state and thereafter as disclosed by its immediately preceding corporate registration report, as provided by law. The secretary of state may provide a form of the corporate registration report for filing in a format and medium prescribed by the secretary of state.
