1. A new certificate of membership interest may be issued under section 351.1093 in the place of one that is alleged to have been lost, stolen, or destroyed, upon the filing of an affidavit of lost, stolen, or destroyed certificate by the member with the secretary of the cooperative.
2. The issuance of a new certificate under this section shall not constitute an overissue of the membership interests it represents, and upon any such issue, the replaced certificate shall without further action become null and void.
