A person holding a valid, unrevoked and unexpired license to practice funeral directing or embalming in another state or territory with requirements less than those of this state may, after five consecutive years of active experience as a licensed funeral director or embalmer in that state, apply for a license to practice in this state after passing a test to prove his or her proficiency, including but not limited to a knowledge of the laws and regulations of this state as to funeral directing and embalming.
