1. Subject to appropriations, there is hereby established the “Dental Hygienist Distance Learning Committee”. The committee shall consist of six members and the director of the division of professional registration. The director shall appoint the members of the committee, three of whom shall be dentists licensed under this chapter, and three of whom shall be dental hygienists holding certificates of registration under this chapter.
2. Members of the committee shall not be compensated for their services, but they shall be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties. Each member shall serve until the committee is dissolved under section 332.305. The department shall provide staff to the committee and aid it in the performance of its duties.
