Personnel designated by the director of the Missouri department of agriculture shall have access to places of business during regular business hours for the purpose of inspecting carcasses or parts of carcasses sold by the seller to determine compliance with the provisions of sections 265.490 to 265.499. The director of the Missouri department of agriculture, or personnel designated by the director, shall report any suspected violations of sections 265.490 to 265.499 to the prosecuting attorney of the county where the alleged violation occurred and to the attorney general.
