Whenever the physician so employed shall certify to the county commission, or to the commissioner thereof in vacation, that any prisoner so confined is sick of any contagious or infectious disorder, liable to be communicated to other prisoners, such commission, or any two commissioners thereof in vacation, may make an order directing the sheriff or marshal to remove such prisoner from such jail and provide for his safekeeping elsewhere, until he can be recommitted to jail without endangering the health of other prisoners.
