Any purchase of food in any correctional center other than the usual quantity purchased for the offenders in the correctional center, to be used by or for anyone other than the offenders of the correctional center, shall be charged directly to the individual responsible for the purchase. The department may authorize employees of the correctional center to receive one meal without cost per work shift.
