The provisions of section 213.020 relating to the members of the commission on human rights serving without compensation to the contrary notwithstanding, whenever any member of the commission serves as a member of a panel to hear complaints involving alleged discriminatory practices under this chapter he shall receive as compensation for such duty the sum of fifty dollars for each day he actually serves on such panel and shall be reimbursed for his reasonable and necessary expenses actually incurred in the performance of his duties on the panel.
