The commissioners shall make their report, accompanied by a map or plan showing the boundaries of the proposed district in relation to the property lines intersected or followed by them, also in relation to city or county boundaries, to the court by which they were appointed, and shall thereupon be discharged by the court. The report and map, if approved by the court, shall then be filed in the office of the recorder of deeds for each county in which a portion of the proposed district is situated and with the county commission of each such county.
