No potential transmitter who in his or her home or other place obeys the rules and regulations of the public health authority or the department of health and senior services, and the policies of the treating facility, for the control of tuberculosis or who voluntarily accepts care in a tuberculosis institution, hospital, home, or other place and obeys the rules and regulations of the public health authority or the department of health and senior services for the control of contagious tuberculosis shall be committed under the provisions of sections 199.170 to 199.350.
