The department of health and senior services shall develop and implement a responsible data management program of collecting and analyzing statistical information necessary to protect the public health and safety or the environment, and maintain a list of the persons authorized to use, possess, store, treat, or transfer sources of radiation within the state, and disseminate information relating to sources of radiation except when such information constitutes trade secrets or confidential information of the person from whom it is obtained, unless disclosure of such information is required by federal law.
