Any person, official or institution complying with the provisions of subdivision (2) of subsection 1 of section 192.2405 in the making of a report, or in cooperating with the department in any of its activities under section 192.2425, except any person, official or institution violating section 565.184, shall be immune from any civil or criminal liability for making such a report, or in cooperating with the department, unless such person acted negligently, recklessly, in bad faith, or with malicious purpose.
