There is hereby created the “Missouri Arboretum”, wherein trees, shrubs, and herbaceous and other types of plants shall be planted, grown, and cultivated for scientific and educational purposes. The Missouri arboretum shall be under the direction, control, and supervision of the board of regents of Northwest Missouri State University.
