Missouri Revised Statutes Title XI. Education and Libraries § 170.211. Public library--powers of board in urban districts

1. The school board of any urban school district may establish and maintain a library and free reading room for the use of the school district, and may appropriate such sums as the board deems proper for the support of the library and reading room.

2. The school board may in the name of the school district accept, hold, invest and reinvest, use and disburse any donations, bequests or devises made to it for the benefit of the library or for library purposes in accordance with the terms of the donation, bequest or devise.
