If the secretary of state, state auditor, state treasurer or attorney general be impeached, and notified thereof, an appointment shall be made by the governor to supply such vacancy until such impeachment shall be determined; and if the president of the senate be impeached, notice thereof shall immediately be given by the house of representatives to the senate, that another president may be elected by the senate.
