1. There is hereby authorized to be created in any county with a population of at least two hundred thousand inhabitants which adjoins a county with a population of nine hundred thousand or more inhabitants, a special authority to be known as the “․․․․․․․․․․ County Convention and Sports Facilities Authority”, hereinafter referred to in sections 67.1150 to 67.1158 as the “authority”. The authority may be created by order of the county governing body, and certified copies of such order shall be filed in the offices of the governor and secretary of state. The authority shall be a body corporate and politic, and a political subdivision of the state of Missouri.
2. The provisions of sections 67.1150 to 67.1158 shall apply to any authority organized under the provisions of sections 67.1150 to 67.1158.
