Missouri Revised Statutes Title VI. County, Township and Political Subdivision Government § 65.280. Proceedings by or against township--conveyances

All acts or proceedings by or against a township in its corporate capacity shall be in the name of such township and county; but every conveyance of land within the limits of such township, made in any manner for the use and benefit of its inhabitants, shall have the same effect as if made to the township by name.
