The said treasurer shall, within five days after his final settlement, or at the expiration of his term of office, turn over to his successor in office all moneys, funds, records, papers, furniture and fixtures belonging to said office, and take his receipt therefor, and within five days file a duplicate of said receipt with the clerk of the county commission of said county.
