The contributions allocated to a member in accordance with sections 50.1220 and 50.1230 shall be deposited in a bookkeeping account established on the member's behalf. This account shall be held as part of the funds of the Missouri county employees' retirement fund described in subdivision (13) of section 50.1000 and shall share in the gains and losses of this retirement system. A member's matching account shall be valued as of the last day of each calendar year quarter.
