If a member or his dependents receive federal compensation due to an injury or disease which is covered by chapter 287, the amount of the federal compensation shall be deducted from the amount otherwise due from the state of Missouri. Before any claim is processed pursuant to chapter 287, a member shall sign an authorization consenting to the release of any information pertaining to federal compensation paid for an injury or disease covered under chapter 287.
