The state treasurer, at the commencement of each regular session of the general assembly, shall prepare and report the amounts claimed under the provisions of section 30.200. He also shall give information in writing to either house of the general assembly whenever required upon any subject connected with the treasury or touching any duty of his office, and perform all such duties as may be required of him by law.
