The month of February is hereby designated as “Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month” in the state of Missouri. One in three teens in the United States will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse by someone with whom they are in a relationship before they become adults. The citizens of this state are encouraged to observe the month with appropriate activities and events to raise awareness of abuse in teen relationships.
