The attorney general of the state shall, upon request of the commission or department, represent and appear for the commission or department in all actions and proceedings involving any question under Laws 1974, chapter 429, 1 and shall aid in any investigation or hearing had under the provisions of Laws 1974, chapter 429. The attorney general shall perform all duties and services in connection with Laws 1974, chapter 429 and the enforcement thereof as the commission or department may require. The attorney general shall also bring all actions to collect penalties herein provided.
