Minnesota Statutes Utilities (Ch. 216-216H) § 216B.46. Municipal acquisition procedures; notice; election

Any municipality which desires to acquire the property of a public utility as authorized under the provisions ofsection 216B.45may determine to do so by resolution of the governing body of the municipality taken after a public hearing of which at least 30 days' published notice shall be given as determined by the governing body. The determination shall become effective when ratified by a majority of the qualified electors voting on the question at a special election to be held on a date authorized bysection 205.10, subdivision 3a.
