To be eligible for general assistance undersections 256D.01to256D.21, an individual must provide the individual's Social Security number to the county agency or submit proof that an application has been made. The provisions of this section do not apply to the determination of eligibility for emergency general assistance undersection 256D.06, subdivision 2. This provision applies to eligible children under the age of 18 effective July 1, 1997.
