Minnesota Statutes Proprietary Schools (Ch. 141-142) § 142F.11. Federal waiver

The commissioner shall exercise the authority granted byPublic Law 104-193, title VIII, section 824, 1and request the Secretary of the United States Department of Agriculture to grant waivers of the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) work requirements of section 824, for every county and reservation in which:

(1) the county or reservation has an unemployment rate over ten percent; or

(2) the county or reservation does not have a sufficient number of jobs to provide employment for individuals.
