Any person who violates Laws 1971, chapter 568, or who makes a material false statement with respect to a written report or statement required by Laws 1971, chapter 568, shall be punishable, for the first offense, by payment of a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment for not more than 90 days or both and for the second and each subsequent offense by payment of a fine of not more than $3,000 or imprisonment for not more than 364 days or both.
