(a) The secretary of state shall adopt rules according to the Administrative Procedure Act establishing uniform recount procedures. All recounts provided for bysections 204C.35,204C.36, and206.88, shall be conducted in accordance with these rules.
(b) NotwithstandingMinnesota Rules, part 8235.0800, therequirement that ballots be recounted by precinctmeans that a recount official shall maintain the segregation of ballots by precinct but the recount official may recount more than one precinct at a time in physically separate locations within the room in which the recount is administered.
