(a) Notwithstandingsection 127A.85, article III, and for the purposes of intrastate student transfers between Minnesota local education agencies, the provisions of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children insection 127A.85apply to minor dependent children of members of the active and activated reserve components of the uniformed services, including but not limited to members of the Minnesota Army National Guard and the Minnesota Air National Guard.
(b) This section does not apply to interstate transfers between Minnesota local education agencies and public or private schools in other states.
(c) For the purposes of this section, the words defined insection 127A.85, article II, have the same meanings.
