Subdivision 1. Identity of complainants. Data that identify individuals who have complained to the Department of Labor and Industry concerning alleged violations of chapter 177; chapter 181; sections 179.86to179.877; chapter 181A; or rules adopted pursuant to these statutes, are classified as private data. The commissioner may disclose this data to other government entities with written consent from the complainant if the commissioner determines that the disclosure furthers an enforcement action of the Department of Labor and Industry or another government entity.
