By December 1, 2023, the Peace Officer Standards and Training Board, after consulting with the National Alliance on Mental Illness Minnesota, the Minnesota County Attorneys Association, the Minnesota Sheriffs' Association, the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association, and the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association, shall develop model procedures and standards for the storage of firearms transferred to law enforcement undersection 624.7175.
