Minnesota Statutes Counties, County Officers, Regional Authorities (Ch. 370-403) § 382.14. Failure to give; office vacant

If any county officer served with notice to furnish a new bond, as provided insection 382.13, fails or neglects to do so, the office shall be deemed vacant. If it shall be made to appear to the board that such officer has been unable to furnish such bond by reason of physical disability, it may give the officer such further reasonable time to furnish the same as it deems proper, not later than the next meeting of the board. If such bond is not furnished within the further time so granted, such office shall be deemed vacant as before provided.
