The commissioner may require certification of retail food handlers in establishments licensed undersection 28A.05, paragraph (a), for retail food preparation, handling, and service practices. A retail food handler licensed undersection 28A.05, paragraph (a), shall comply with the requirements for the manager certification program undersection 157.011, subdivision 2. An interagency agreement with the Department of Health must be established for the transfer of funds to the commissioner to cover the cost of administering the manager certification program.
