Any person who fails to keep such record or causes to be entered or recorded any false, untruthful, deceptive, or misleading statement or data in any register required to be kept bysections 29.201to29.205, or who changes, alters, destroys, mutilates, injures, secretes, conceals, or withholds from inspection any such register, or any part thereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. This misdemeanor shall be deemed separate, apart from, and in addition to, any other crime or offense against the law committed by such person in connection with such transaction.
