Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapters 760 to 777 Code of Criminal Procedure § 773.9

Sec. 9. If the jury finds that a murder, manslaughter, or assault was committed upon the deceased, the magistrate immediately shall return to the circuit court in the county or to the recorder's court of the city of Detroit if the offense was committed within the jurisdiction of that court, the inquisition, any physical evidence, and the transcript, if requested under section 6 of this chapter,  1 of the testimony given and proceedings held before the magistrate.
