Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapters 61 to 75 Villages § 67.64

Sec. 64. (1) The board of cemetery trustees may make all requisite and necessary rules and bylaws to carry into effect the powers vested and duties required by section 63.  1 The bylaws shall be recorded in a book kept for that purpose. The board of cemetery trustees shall also appoint a treasurer from the membership of the board, whose duties shall be, under the direction of the board, to receive, account for, and invest all money received by the board under section 63. The treasurer shall give and execute a bond to the board of cemetery trustees in a sum fixed by the council.

(2) The business which the board of cemetery trustees may perform shall he conducted at a public meeting of the board held in compliance with the open meetings act, 1976 PA 267, MCL 15.261 to 15.275. Public notice of the time, date, and place of the meeting shall be given in the manner required by the open meetings act, 1976 PA 267, MCL 15.262 to 15.275.

(3) A writing prepared, owned, used, in the possession of, or retained by the board in the performance of an official function shall be made available to the public in compliance with the freedom of information act, 1976 PA 442, MCL 15.231 to 15.246.
