Sec. 1. Subject to section 11 of the Michigan history center act, 2016 PA 470, 399.811, a probate court may order the destruction of files and records described in this section if more than 6 years have passed since the last order of the court in the case. This section applies to proceedings taken for the hospitalization of a child or youth with special health care needs under part 58 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.5801 to 333.5879.
