Sec. 8375. The district court may assess the same costs as are permitted in the circuit court. In civil infraction actions, the district court may assess costs as provided in section 907 of the Michigan vehicle code, Act No. 300 of the Public Acts of 1949, being section 257.907 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, section 8727, 1or section 8827, 2 as applicable. A district court magistrate may assess costs in an amount fixed by rule of the district court.
