Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 600. Revised Judicature Act of 1961 § 600.8351

Sec. 8351. Jurors for the district court shall be selected in accordance with the provisions of chapter 13.  1 Jurors in the district court shall be paid by the county in districts of the first and second class and by the political subdivisions where the trial takes place in districts of the third class in like amount as is paid to jurors of the circuit court. Failure to respond to jury duty in the district court shall be punishable in like manner as in the circuit court.
