Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 54. Surveyors § 54.277

Sec. 17.(1) The department shall promulgate rules pursuant to the administrative procedures act of 1969, 1969 PA 306, MCL 24.201 to 24.328, to implement this act.

(2) In promulgating rules under this section, or in adopting a guideline related to the administration of this act, the department shall consult with and consider recommendations provided to it by the commission.

(3) After the enactment of the amendatory act that added this subsection,  1 the department shall promulgate rules to implement this act as amended by that amendatory act. Before the promulgation of rules under this subsection, the department may continue to administer this act under previously promulgated rules to the extent that the rules do not conflict with this act as amended by that amendatory act.
