Sec. 3949. (1) An insurer that has both life and disability authority in this state may market policies containing both life benefits and long-term care benefits.
(2) Except as otherwise provided in this act, if life insurance products contain long-term care benefits, the life insurance benefits in those products shall comply with the requirements of chapters 40 and 44 1 and the long-term care benefits shall comply with this chapter.
