Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 45. Counties § 45.84

Sec. 4. All county officers and heads of county departments or institutions shall keep the purchasing agent constantly advised as to the amount and character of supplies on hand, and the amount and character required in order to keep the offices, departments or institutions constantly provided for. They shall also furnish any other information respecting such matters as may be desired or requested by said purchasing agent.
