Michigan Compiled Laws, Chapter 45. Counties § 45.513

Sec. 13. The commission may appoint employees and assistants as are necessary to perform its duties and shall fix the compensation of the employees and assistants so appointed. Upon the request of the commission, the board of supervisors may authorize the use, by the commission, of the services of any county departmental personnel. The commission shall provide for the printing and distribution of its official documents. It may disseminate information about the proposed charter and do all other things necessary to complete the business of the commission in an orderly manner. All expenses of the charter commission shall be within an adequate appropriation provided by the board of supervisors under the provisions of section 6.  1
