Sec. 2-b. Whenever an assumed name concern shall go out of business, it shall be the duty of the person or persons, who have conducted such business, to file a certificate with the clerk of the county or counties in which such concern transacted business, of the discontinuance of the operation of the business in such county or counties, which certificate shall be attached by the county clerk to the certificate or renewal certificate filed under the provisions of section 1 or 1a of this act. 1
